How to Workout at Home if You're Avoiding the Gym During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Getting a workout in is a great way to de-stress and help boost your immune system. Even though gyms are following the guidelines set by Health Canada and staff is doing their best keeping all the equipment and surfaces clean, many people are avoiding places where they could contract the virus or spread it to other people. 

If you have decided to stay home during this difficult time and want to continue being active, here is some workout ideas you can do at home. You can get a great session with minimal equipment such a kettle bell or a dumbbell. For those who have no equipment at home, focus on the basics- planks, push ups, squats, lunges, burpees etc. 


Workout 1

5 Rounds:

40 Sit-Ups

40 Reverse Lunges

20 Burpees


Workout 2

4 Rounds For Time

30 Push Ups

20 Goblet Squats

20 Single Arm Dumbbell Press (10 each arm)


Workout 3

6 Rounds:

10 Push-Ups

15 V-Ups

20 Jumping air Squats
